FENDI MIRROR AND PLASTIC PANEL WEDGES

Ahh, the mirrored Fendis... These kicks are something out of the Jetsons with their mirrored wedge heel and plastic paneling. They're unlike any of the other shoes in my whole closet and I just really love their unexpected little details. It really was love at first sight for me...

Being the loving sister that I am, I was shoe shopping with my mom for my sister's birthday at Neiman's Clearance sale and was on a mission for a kick ass pair of flats for her. I tried to focus on the task at hand, staying in the Size 8 section without wandering over to my size 7.5 section. But there they were: shimmering, plasticy, mirrorery, and screaming for my attention. So I wandered over to them and they were even cooler close up. I decided to just TRY them on to see... Needless to say, I didn't leave Neimans that day empty-handed. Though the "buy-the-sister-a-pair-of-flats" mission was incomplete for the day, we scored her a perfect pair of Proenza Schouler sandals at a sale elsewhere. Though the Fendis were purchased that day, I had to wait three months for my birthday before I could have them. My mom wrapped them up and locked them away, and by the time August rolled around, I had forgetten about them. So when I opened the box and saw them in their plasticy and shiny amazigness, it was just delighted.
